OPINION

So I hear that the Supreme Court has approved the newly gerrymandered map that Texas made.

Why am I not surprised?

Here is what I am thinking:

California is also working on gerrymandering their maps so as to give them some kind of partisan advantage in the Congress as well… in my opinion an effort to level the political playing field.

I am predicting that the Supreme Court will never approve the California effort.

The upshot as I see it is: Republican gerrymandering always approved by SCOTUS without question.

Democrat gerrymandering always rejected by SCOTUS without question.

If I am wrong, then I will repent of my prophecy here.
